The Brenham Music Academy is a coalition of teachers led by pianist and artist, Cheryl Amelang. Brenham Music Academy opened at its current location on MLK, Jr. in 2004 and stemmed from "Cheryl's School of Music". At the time the street name was Academy Street, thus the name "Brenham Music Academy."  For those of us who are regulars, we have shortened the name to BMA!  Cheryl has been teaching and performing for over 25 years.  We are dedicated to bringing the best possible instrumental and music theory instruction to you or your children.  Our facility features a performing and group instruction room, computer lab  as well as private rooms for individual instrumental instruction.  In our facility, we have wonderful state of the art tools at our disposal! Four pianos, five Roland digital pianos, five computers, Sibelius 5 and all educational Sibelius software, Music Ace Maestro, Midi Saurus, as well as our new online community theory program "Music Learning Community.   For advanced students who are interested in recording and production, we offer instruction in sequencing and recording with Garage Band and Logic Pro 9.
